Divine Intervention Episode 65 – Ventilator Physiology For The USMLEs (an overview)
In this podcast, I discuss essentially all you need to know about vents as relevant to the USMLE exams (Step 1-3). I also discuss a host of HY ABG scenarios that commonly show up on these exams. There are no slides as all needed information is in the podcast. A more detailed vent podcast will come in a future episode. QUICK CORRECTION- AROUND MINUTE 11, I MISTAKENLY SWITCH WORDS WHEN DEFINING A SHUNT. THE TRUE DEFINITION IS THAT A SHUNT REPRESENTS A REGION OF LUNG THAT IS PERFUSED WITHOUT VENTILATION. MY EXPLANATION IS CORRECT BUT THAT ONE DEFINITION IS WRONG SO TAKE NOTE!
Divine Intervention Episode 41 – USMLE Antibiotic Guide.
Today’s podcast is a very high level review of antibiotics as classically tested on USMLE/Shelf exams. Basically, this podcast tells you what to do when presented with a particular bug scenario. Slides attached.

Divine Intervention Episode 37 – Risk Factors, Preventive Medicine, and Screening Guidelines.
In this episode, I discuss a large majority of the most important risk factors for commonly tested NBME diseases (including OBGYN). I also discuss high yield screening guidelines and “most common causes of death”. Easy points if you know this stuff on test day. Relevant for Step 1-3 and the M3 Shelf exams. No slides attached as all relevant information is in the podcast.
Divine Intervention Episode 36 – USMLE Ophthalmology.
In this podcast, I cover the great majority of the ophthalmology that would classically be tested on a medicine shelf, peds shelf, surgery shelf, Step 1/2CK/3, and the M3 neurology shelf with the most benefit being for the medicine shelf/Step 2CK/3. For those studying for the medicine shelf, consider this as an addition to the medicine reviews (ophthalmology was the significant thing lacking in those comprehensive recordings). This material will almost certainly be tested in some way on a medicine/surgery shelf. You definitely don’t want to blow this off. You will pay dearly. Slides attached.

Divine Intervention Episode 26 – USMLE Radiology.
In this episode, I go over very high yield radiographic imaging “signs” that classically show up on the USMLEs. Super HY for all the USMLEs. Slides attached.Divine Intervention Episode 26-USMLE Radiology
Divine Intervention Episode 25 – Autonomic Pharmacology Part 3.
In this episode of the Divine Intervention Podcasts, we finish up the remaining autonomic drugs. There are no slides attached. All needed information is in the podcast.
Divine Intervention Episode 20 – Autonomic Pharmacology Part 2.
In this episode, I continue our discussion of the USMLE relevant material pertinent to Autonomic Pharmacology. There’s a lot of time devoted to associated pathology and other testable exam information. There are no slides attached. All you need is in the podcast.
Divine Intervention Episode 18 – Autonomic Pharmacology Part 1.
In this episode of the Divine Intervention Podcasts, we discuss autonomic pharmacology. This is often a difficult subject for people but it is actually fun and easy to understand with a “scenario based approach”. It is also HY to know this material for all the USMLEs and clinical practice/3rd year. This first part focuses on the physiology of the ANS (including receptors) and an integration of multiple pathologies (and other systems). My primary discussion of the drugs (in addition to their pharmacological mechanism of action) is a focus on “How can this be tested”?. This tends to be a more useful learning format. There are no attached slides as all necessary information is in the podcast.
Divine Intervention Episode 17 – Diseases of The Pediatric Population Part 1.
In today’s episode, I discuss a flurry of HY diseases that commonly show up in the pediatric population on exams (Step 1-3, Peds Shelf, OBGYN Shelf). I would encourage you to master/memorize everything discussed here. They are VERY COMMONLY tested. Slides attached.Divine Intervention Episode 17 Diseases of The Pediatric Population Part 1
