Just wanted to say I haven’t read the content outline of the USMLEs but I actually noticed that “trend” about the military when I took step 1 last mid December. I think around once in every block I saw “A man/woman/whatever WHO’S A VETERAN has this and that…” in a vignette, and while coming out of the exam I was thinking, what’s up with veterans, you know.

My step 1 exam last year had tons of military patients. I actually had questions about military combat injuries. Like most likely injuries they would sustain in a blAst (Maybe like pneumo?, hearing loss) .
