In this episode, I continue our rapid review series for the USMLE Step 1 Exam with a discussion of classic neuro presentations of some HY diseases. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 104 – ACLS, Arrhythmias, and HY Cardiac Pharm
In this episode, I focus on 3 things; ACLS and detailed management of the different ACLS rhythms, HY arrhythmias and their acute management (VTach, Afib, Aflutter, WPW, SVT, etc etc), and the HY cardiac agents that are tested on exams. The material in this podcast is applicable to all the USMLE exams and the ABIM/Medicine ITE exam. A few questions usually pop up related to these concepts all the time. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 103 – ABIM/Medicine ITE/Step 3 Review Series 5 (Cardiology 1)
In this episode, I continue our review of concepts classically tested on the ABIM and the Medicine ITE. These topics also tend to show up on the USMLE Step 3 exam. The primary focus of this podcast is on cardiology (which makes up about 15% of the ABIM exam)! This will ultimately form part of an expanded series focusing on cardiology. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 102 – The “Clutch” Cancer Podcast.
In this episode, I basically spend time discussing the classic presentations and HY pieces of information tested by the NBME on all USMLE exams for the HY malignancies from head to toe. Just like the clutch micro podcast, this will likely net you 10+ correct questions on any of the USMLE exams (Step 1-3). There are no attached slides. And for those that have a family member dealing with malignancy, it is my prayer that they get an outcome that gives you and your family peace. It is tough to lose a loved one to cancer.
Divine Intervention Episode 101 – USMLE Step 1 Rapid Review Series 6 (Neuro)
In this podcast, I continue our rapid review series for Step 1 with a focus on Neuro. I devote almost all of the podcast to lesion localization (especially cranial nerves AND pathways). There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 100 – The “Clutch” Micro Podcast.
In this episode of the Divine Intervention Podcasts (our 100th, God is good!), I review Micro (viruses, fungi, bacteria) with a unique focus solely on clinical cases/presentations. This podcast basically helps you think in terms of the way the NBME would frame bugs in clinical presentations. I call this the clutch podcast because you will likely get a minimum of 15ish questions correct on any of the USMLEs (1/2CK/3) if you master the material in this podcast. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 99 – USMLE Step 1 Rheumatology Review (Part 1)
In this episode, I began a 2-3 part series that in detail reviews all the testable rheumatology that is classically seen on the USMLE Step 1 Exam. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 98 – USMLE Step 3/Medicine ITE/ABIM Review Series 4 (Diabetic Emergencies)
In this episode, I discuss diabetic emergencies (DKA/HHNC) as tested on the USMLE Step 3/MITE/ABIM exam. This is definitely a topic you’d want to understand in-depth for all 3 exams (and also for clinical practice). I focus on management and HY testable concepts. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 97 – The “Most Important” Podcast (USMLEs)
In this podcast, which is a sequel to the risk factors and preventive medicine podcast, I spend time focusing on a new area of NBME interest which are the “most important prognostic factors, complications, physical exam findings, predictors of survival, etc etc”. I also discuss some other risk factors and then spend time at the end highlighting malignancies associated with infectious agents. This podcast is short, but floridly high yield. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 96 – USMLE Step 1 Rapid Review Series 5 (Neuro)
In this episode, I continue our rapid review series for the USMLE Step 1 with a primary focus on the classic, HY presentations of neuro pathologies on NBMEs. Note that this is different from the comprehensive neuro review that I have been working on. Note that these rapid reviews are nice ways to get tons of questions correct on your test AND also review lots of material in a short period of time. There are no attached slides.
