In this episode, I begin a comprehensive GI review series for the USMLE Step 1 based on First Aid. I utilize an integrated format along with clinical vignettes to describe a host of pathologies that are pertinent to everything from the stomach all the way to the mouth. I will spend more time on associated embryology in a follow up podcast. I spend time explaining pathophysiology where appropriate and do not just give you factoids. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 184 – The NBME Weird (Complications, Prognostics, More Risk Factors/Common Causes of Death/Screenings). An Episode 37/97 Extension.
In this episode, I discuss a series of odd topics that are pertinent to the current USMLE exams (especially Step 2CK and Step 3). These topics include most common complications of disease, important prognostic factors, most common causes of death, etc. I also discuss a host of risk factors not specifically discussed in Ep 37/97. As you can tell from recent reports on reddit/SDN, this is very HY stuff to know for said exams. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 183 – Comprehensive NBME Emergency Medicine Shelf Review Series 3.
In this podcast, I cover (with rare exceptions which will be discussed in upcoming podcasts) essentially everything you could potentially see on an EM shelf with respect to infectious diseases. This podcast is definitely the type you listen to before your shelf. It’s detailed, but it is extremely HY. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 182 – Comprehensive NBME Emergency Medicine Shelf Review Series 2.
In this episode, I continue our review series for the NBME EM Shelf with a detailed discussion of endocrine related emergencies that are commonly seen in the ER and encountered on the exam. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 181 – Comprehensive NBME Emergency Medicine Shelf Review Series 1.
In this episode, I begin a comprehensive series specifically targeted towards the EM NBME Shelf taken by 3rd and 4th year medical students. In this first series, I attempt to cover most conceivable cardio related concepts (arrhythmias, PE, CHF, valvular problems, endocarditis, management steps, EKG goodness, etc) that may show up on the exam. This singular podcast probably represents a good close to 10-15% or more of what would be covered on said shelf. Protip would be to specifically look up examples of the different weird heart rhythms I talk about. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 180 – Hematology For The Surgery Shelf Exam.
In this episode, I cover the hematology that is classically tested on the surgery shelf exam. For those taking the shelf exam, don’t sleep on this. About 5-10% of the surgery shelf exam questions center around blood disorders. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 179 – USMLE Step 1 Cardiology Review Series 8 (Pathology).
In this episode, I continue our cardiology review series for the USMLE Step 1 Exam with a focus on a host of pathological concepts. I have discussed some of these before but I approach them from a different perspective this time and highlight some unique histologic findings that you will likely find to be useful on the NBME exams. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 178 – USMLE Step 1 Cardiology Review Series 7 (Vascular Pathology).
In this episode, I continue our cardiology review for the USMLE Step 1 exam. In this podcast, I take the unusual approach of using clinical vignettes to go over close to 80-100 different HY cardiac pathologies. You certainly want to listen to this before taking the USMLE Step 1 exam. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 177 – USMLE Step 2CK Rapid Review Series 24 (OGBYN).
In this episode, I continue our rapid review series for the USMLE Step 2CK exam with a discussion of extremely HY OBGYN concepts with almost 10 mins spent discussing all you need to know about cervical cancer (screening, treatment, managing test results). There ate no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 176 – USMLE Step 1 Cardiology Review Series 6 (Cardiac Embryology).
In this episode, I continue our comprehensive review series of cardiology as relevant to the USMLE Step 1 exam. This podcast is especially HY because it covers embryology which is routinely tested on the USMLE Step 1. I am also attaching a slide deck that highlights the pathophysiology behind Tetralogy of Fallot.
