This series is pretty HY and should be an extremely helpful study tool for those taking Step 2CK and COMLEX Level 2. I would also recommend reviewing this if you’re taking Step 3/Level 3. We continue our discussion of the most recent free 120. I also discuss one of the drug ads. Feel free to email me via the website to enroll for any of the review classes for Step 1-3 starting this Thursday.
Divine Intervention Episode 519: 2024 USMLE Step 2CK Free 120 Discussion Part 2
In this short podcast, I continue our series where I methodically review the questions from the 2024 Free 120. Lots of HY learning, explanation of pathophysiology, and integrations to be had.
Divine Intervention Episode 518: 2024 USMLE Step 2CK Free 120 Discussion Part 1
In this podcast, I discuss the first few questions from the 2024 USMLE Step 2CK Free 120. This first podcast in this series is intentionally long as I devote time to discussing not just concepts but a host of very HY test taking principles. Future podcasts in the series should be shorter since I’ve gotten some of these ideas out of the way. Pay attention to these principles as we go. If you’re interested in any of my zoom review courses (for Step 1-3), email me through the website for more information (or at divineinterventionpodcasts@gmail.com).
Divine Intervention Episode 517: B3 and The USMLE
We all know that niacin deficiency causes pellagra…But our friends at the USMLEs love to draw their questions from the causes/integrations. That way they can easily test if you can see links between disparate symptoms and pathways. This short podcast essentially teaches you all of this in an easy to understand format. Also make sure you know the classic “image” they use for these patients.
Divine Intervention Episode 516: The Floridly HY Brain Tumor Podcast (for Step 1-3, lots of integrations)
This podcast is super HY. Lots of questions you could easily get right on your exam. While we spend time on brain tumors, about half of the podcast goes into tons of other integrations from repro, endocrine, cardio, heme, etc. I strongly encourage you to listen to this. I also discuss lots of pathophysiology so it’s easy to reason through and understand the material.
Divine Intervention Episode 515: Ventilator Physiology Part 2 (for Step 1-3)
This podcast is a continuation of Episode 65 which was an introduction to ventilator physiology. In Part 2, I focus on CPAP and PEEP while making tons of integrations with how they affect multiple pulmonary and cardiovascular parameters. This is a classic source of “physiology arrow questions” on the USMLE exams. I also end with a life lesson on fulfilling your dreams the right way.
Divine Intervention Episode 514: A Framework For Understanding Endocrine Testing (for Step 1-3)
For medical students taking endocrinology, the myriad of tests used to diagnose the different pathologies sometimes seem nebulous and random. In this podcast, I describe a simple, logical framework for organizing the different diagnostic tests in your mind. I strongly believe that you should consider listening to this to obtain a better appreciation of/foundation before delving deep into understanding endocrinology.
Divine Intervention Episode 513: USMLE Step 2/3 Rapid Review Series 112
In this episode, I discuss a host of genetic diseases commonly tested on the USMLEs and devote time to making other integrations with endocrinology, microbiology, and pharmacology. Email me via the website if you want to register for the Step 2/3 class starting today.
Divine Intervention Episode 512: Mechanisms of Diarrhea (for Step 1-3)
Diarrhea is a very common topic on the USMLEs. One big focus with some questions is not recall but knowing how the diarrhea actually unfolds. These questions often have answer chances that do not list bugs but list mechanisms. This podcast helps to clear up how diarrhea actually arises so you can answer these questions correctly.
Divine Intervention Episode 511: How To Read and Retain Information
In this podcast, I address very practical tips and principles for reading/listening to information and retaining it for future use on exams and other personal situations.
