In this episode, I continue our why’s of anatomy series with further discussion of the brachial plexus. I strongly encourage listening to Ep 147 before this. It will make your life considerably easier. The brachial plexus is not hard, it just requires understanding. These 2 podcasts make that possible. There are no attached slides. Remember that this stuff is tested a lot on many exams (even Step 2CK, neuro shelf, surgery shelf, Step 3 to a limited extent).

Divine Intervention Episode 147 – The Why’s of Anatomy For The USMLE Step 1 (Upper Limbs 1, Brachial Plexus)
In this episode, I begin a series I am describing as the why’s of anatomy. I am especially going to hone in on Step 1 relevant anatomy but from the perspective of trying to show you that anatomy actually has mechanisms as against being solely memorization. This podcast focuses on the brachial plexus. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 146 – Comprehensive USMLE Renal Pharmacology Part 1.
In this episode, I begin a discussion of renal pharmacology as pertinent to the USMLE Step 1 Exam. I integrate my discussion with multiple disciplines. Note that there is also a detailed, comprehensive renal review series for Step 1 (Episodes 52-54). For this podcast, there are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 143 – The Clutch Biostats Review (Comprehensive for all the USMLE exams).
In this episode, I use a large # of questions (hopefully thoughtful ones) to discuss the vast majority of biostats concepts tested on all the USMLE exams (and also the ABIM/Medicine ITE). I emphasize understanding the concepts as against mindlessly memorizing formulas. If you want to become very good at biostats with little or no use of 2 by 2 tables, this is the podcast for you. This podcast should help you understand things enough to reason things out and do very minimal math quickly and efficiently on these exams. THERE ARE ATTACHED SLIDES BELOW! Follow and annotate them as you study.
Divine Intervention Episode 142 – Comprehensive USMLE Step 1 Repro Review (Part 1 of 2)
In this episode, I use a host of clinical cases (close to 200 or more) to review HY material related to repro for the USMLE Step 1 Exam. There’ll be a 2nd part that completes the circle coming up shortly. The goal of this podcast is to help people develop a solid understanding of repro instead of memorizing tons of annoying factoids. There are no attached slides. The material here matches well with a ton of what is covered in First Aid For The USMLE Step 1 Exam.
Divine Intervention Episode 139 – Comprehensive USMLE Step 1 Pulm Review (Part 1)
In this episode, I begin a comprehensive pulm review series for the USMLE Step 1 Exam. I focus on laying a solid foundation by using multiple means to explain basic concepts (primarily physiology) that should make understanding pulmonary pathologies a lot easier. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 138 – The Clutch Genetic Diseases Podcast (especially for Step 2CK and Step 1) + Some Thoughts on The New 2CK Exam
In this episode, I perform a very high level review of the vast majority of the genetic diseases tested on the USMLE exams. For those taking 2CK, I would strongly recommend not neglecting this podcast. The same recommendation goes to the folks taking Step 1. At the 32 minute mark, I take a small “podcast break” to give my thoughts on how the NBME appears to be approaching the new Step 2CK questions which tends to offer people a lot of stress and anxiety. You will be doing yourself a huge disservice not learning the bulk of this podcast. If you master this, genetic diseases should be a non-issue going forward. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 136 – Comprehensive USMLE Step 1 Immunology Review 1
In this episode, I begin a comprehensive Immunology review series for topics commonly tested on the USMLE Step 1 Exam. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 135 – The “Clutch” Electrolyte Podcast
In this episode, I thoroughly examine essentially all major electrolytes tested on the USMLE exams. If electrolytes (Na, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, and other minors) are a problem, this is the podcast you need. This will make those elyte problems go away. I can of course offer no guarantees but this is one of those “net you 20-25 correct questions on USMLE Step 1/2CK/3 exam” sort of podcasts. Probably one of the highest yield on this website and very highly recommended before taking any USMLE exam. Even a resident will find this to be extremely useful. I explain all these electrolytes with a copious number of scenarios and underlying pathophysiology. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 133 – USMLE Step 1 Neuro Review 3 (Cranial Nerves)
In this episode, I continue our comprehensive review Neurology series for the USMLE Step 1 with a focus on the cranial nerves which traditionally are a sore area for medical students. There are no attached slides.
