Pleural abnormalities are a topic that show up in some way on the USMLE Step 1-3 exams almost 100% of the time, typically with multiple questions per exam. This podcast discusses essentially all you need to know in an easy to understand format. I spend time on mechanisms, integrations, and classic presentations to help you nail down the information.

This podcast is a continuation of Episode 221 (Part 1). In this podcast, I discuss a host of super HY trauma/ortho scenarios that classically pop up on USMLE exams. One big focus in this one are scenarios that are unusual but have a basis in sound pathophysiology. The NBME routinely exploits these for their benefit with head scratching questions. I spend a lot of time explaining mechanistic reasoning so it’s easy to remember. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 300 – Comprehensive Coronavirus/COVID-19 Podcast for The USMLEs (Step 1-3).
In this extremely high yield podcast, I go into a thorough discussion of the coronavirus/COVID-19 in the context of NBME exams. I spend a lot of time explaining pathophysiology and making tons of integrations with immunology, cardio, pulm, micro, etc. This should essentially help you answer any USMLE Q you see and also help you understand a lot about what is going on with the pandemic in our world.

In this podcast, I cover pretty much everything you need to know about the thyroid on NBME exams (especially 2CK). I discuss all commonly tested pathologies. You can easily become a thyroid expert after working through this short 35 min podcast. The only HY thing I forgot to mention here is the bit on Autoimmune Polyglandular Syndrome Type 2 (Hashimoto’s, Addisons, And T1DM with AIRE gene mutations). There are no attached slides.

In this super HY podcast, I discuss the commonly tested topic of vaccines (and their schedules). This stuff shows up a lot on the USMLEs (1-3), Family Med, Peds, OBGYN, and IM Shelf exams. I take a somewhat different approach to make it super easy to learn. First, I discuss lots of common exam scenarios so you’re not just memorizing information. Second, I give a bunch of rules that makes the information extremely digestible; and third, I describe vaccines for a few “special NBME populations”. Trust me, this podcast will make the vaccine schedules a lot more palatable to learn. There are no attached slides.
