In this episode, I begin a discussion of Neuro as relevant to the USMLE Step 1 Exam. My ultimate goal is to cover all the HY info in FA. In this podcast, I discuss neuro embryology and some HY diseases. There are attached slides.

Divine Intervention Episode 86 – The Intern That Thrives (a guide for IM and TY interns)
In this podcast, I discuss some general rules that will be especially useful for interns functioning on the floors in an internal medicine capacity. I would listen to this a few times before you start or while you’re in residency. I discuss a host of strategies that can increase your chances of having a banner intern year (and also avoid common pitfalls that place interns in trouble). There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 85 – USMLE Step 1 Hematology Review Part 6 (Final)
In this episode, I conclude our discussion of hematology and oncology as relevant to the USMLE Step 1. When taken together (Podcast 1-6) with the heme/onc pharm podcasts, you should have a complete review of the HY testable material relevant to the USMLE Step 1 from FA for the USMLE Step 1 2019 edition. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 84 – USMLE Step 1 Rapid Review Series 1
In this episode, I begin a series that has been requested by many listeners in the past. Basically, the goal is to pick HY topics from 7-10 USMLE disciplines and discuss them in mechanistic, presentation, and test taking detail after introduction as a clinical case. For example, this episode reviews nice amounts of heme-onc, micro, renal, pharm, biochem, psych, repro, derm, and other minor topics in a rapid revision format. If I get good feedback on this, I would consider making many more iterations of the series. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 83 – USMLE Step 1 Hematology Review (Part 5)
In this episode, I continue our discussion of Heme-Onc as relevant to the USMLE Step 1 with a focus on all the major anemias (with a few exceptions for the next podcast). I utilize multiple modalities to test the same concept as a means of encouraging retention. In view of this, there are attached slides with questions that you can follow through with as you listen to the audio file. There will be 1 more podcast targeted to Heme-Onc and that should conclude the series.
Divine Intervention Episode 83 Heme-Onc Review for The USMLE Step 1 (Part 5)
Divine Intervention Episode 82 – USMLE Step 1 Hematology Review Part 4 (Oncology)
In this episode, I conclude our discussion of Oncology as relevant to the USMLE Step 1 Exam with a discourse relating to the leukemias and lymphomas. There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 81 – USMLE Step 1 Hematology Review Part 3 (Oncology)
In this episode, I continue our discussion of Heme-Onc as relevant to the USMLE Step 1. This podcast focuses on the hematologic malignancies that are not leukemias or lymphomas (those will be discussed in other podcasts). There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 80 -USMLE Step 1 Hematology Part 2
In this episode, I continue our discussion of hematology as relevant to the USMLE Step 1 and largely conclude my discussion of platelets and their disorders. I also discuss some weird “systemic” diseases with hematologic findings that tend to show up on the USMLEs. Between Episodes 79/80, you should become a platelet expert. You can safely skip parts of the podcast where I begin to go into the pathophysiology underlying APLS. However, it may be a useful explanation for those thirsty for more understanding. I am also adding a small slide supplement that essentially describes APLS pathophysiology/testing in words.
Divine Intervention Episode 79 – USMLE Step 1 Hematology Part 1
In this episode, I begin a comprehensive review series on Heme/Onc for the USMLE Step 1 Exam. This will ultimately be in about 5-10 parts (covering essentially all in FA for The USMLE Step 1, 2019 edition) but I should be able to cover the breath of Heme/Onc material as relevant to Step 1. In this podcast, I discuss platelets (and associated disorders) primarily but go on to integrate a lot of immunology, nephrology, and associated pharmacology. There are potentially 5-6 questions you would correctly answer on the exam as a result of this podcast. As an aside, there are already podcasts devoted to Heme-Onc Pharm and some heme pathologies (they are one of my earlier episodes). There are no attached slides.
Divine Intervention Episode 78 – Gram Negative Rapid Review (+ Zoonotics)
In this episode, I discuss HY information relating to all the gram negatives highlighted in the gram negative algorithm in First Aid For The USMLE Step 1 (2019). I integrate a lot of HY basic science disciplines along the way. I also discuss the zoonotics (brucella, pasteurella, Ehrlichia, Rickettsia), chlamydia species, syphilis, and lyme disease (B. Burgdorferi). Between Episodes 77 and 78 and a good knowledge of antibiotics (earlier podcasts), you should be able to crush a large number of “bacteria” questions with the notable exception of Mycobacterial Species which are discussed in an older podcast. There are no attached slides.
